Welcome to the County of Grey's Geographic Information Service Flex based website. The County maintains a large catalog of GIS data which helps support the efforts of County staff, lower tier municipalies and the general public.
The GIS data is collected, maintained and analyzed and is currently being used by the County of Grey in a number of different ways. These include land use planning (urban, rural and resource development), inventory and maintain public infrastructure, coordinate with neighboring counties, tourism and provide better and more efficient services for the public.
What is GIS? GIS is a computer system capable of assembling, storing, manipulating, analyzing and displaying geographically referenced information. ie. Data identified according to their spatial location and attribute data associated with it.

Data and Products
The County of Grey GIS Staff offer a number of products for the general public. The datasets offered through the County GIS Site are licensed to the County through various data sharing agreements. Therefore sharing the data to anyone outside the organization is limited and would be subject to the various data sharing agreements that the County maintains between itself and other agencies.
The following are a number of products offered to the general public:

County of Grey Official Plan Land Use Schedules & Appendix Maps
11"x17" (colour) - $2.15
34"x44" (colour) = $15.00
34"x44" (Black & White) = $10.00
2010 Grey County Mapbook = $6.00

The prices stated above are subject to change in accordance with the County of Grey's Fees & Services By-law.
